Romans 1:16 (NIV) - “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”
Devotion
With God by your side, there’s no shame in proclaiming the gospel, for it carries the transformative power of God to save all who believe. Paul’s bold declaration in Romans 1:16 reflects a fearless confidence in the message of Christ—a message that transcends human weakness and societal pressures.
The gospel is not just words; it’s the dynamic force of God, breaking chains of sin and offering eternal life to everyone, without distinction. When you stumble, God’s grace lifts you up, forgiving your shortcomings and restoring your purpose. This forgiveness isn’t just for you—it equips you to extend hope to others. Mistakes are part of being human, but God’s mercy renews you, making you a vessel for His light.
As Reggie Dabbs urges us to be first responders, boldly standing in the gap for others, you are called to shine in the darkness, pointing people to the source of life—Jesus Christ. Just as Dabbs spoke of the power of praise and faith to shake prison walls and bring down barriers, your unashamed proclamation of the gospel can break through the doubts and fears in others’ lives. God saved you not only for your own salvation but to be a beacon of hope, guiding those lost in darkness toward His truth. Live courageously, letting the gospel’s power radiate through your words and actions, transforming lives and drawing others to salvation.
Today's Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the high price that was paid to get the good news of the gospel into my hands. May I never take this for granted. I pray for boldness and the words to say when opportunities arise to witness to others about salvation. Cause my life to be that beacon of hope that shines in the darkness and leads others to You. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
