God Knows What He Is Doing

1 Samuel 14:12-13 (NIV)
“The men of the outpost shouted to Jonathan and his armor-bearer, “Come up to us and we’ll teach you a lesson.” So Jonathan said to his armor-bearer, “Climb up after me; the LORD has given them into the hand of Israel.” Jonathan climbed up, using his hands and feet, with his armor-bearer right behind him. The Philistines fell before Jonathan, and his armor-bearer followed and killed behind him.”
Devotion
When God calls you to accomplish a mission, He already knew ages before that you were made for it. You may wonder if you are truly prepared or equipped enough, but rest assured, you are His best choice among thousands of others. God doesn't make mistakes. He knew exactly what He would do through you.
Sometimes, the troubles you endure, the challenges you face, and the tribulations you overcome are all part of the lessons that have prepared you for your mission. Every difficulty has shaped and strengthened you for the responsibilities ahead. God will never assign you a task that you cannot bear. He knows your capacity because He created you with purpose.
Remember, God’s plans are never to harm you but to prosper you. As Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, He has plans to give you hope and a future. Even when the path seems uncertain or the obstacles seem insurmountable, trust that He is with you. He is working all things together for your good.
Stay faithful and patient. God’s timing is perfect. Though it may not always align with your expectations, His plan is always for your ultimate good. When He calls you, step forward with courage, just like Jonathan did. Victory is assured when you rely on the Lord’s strength.
Be encouraged today. God is not against you. He is for you, leading you toward greatness according to His divine purpose.
Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for knowing me better than I know myself. You see my strengths, my weaknesses, and every experience that has shaped me for Your purpose. When doubt tries to overwhelm me, remind me that You have equipped me for the tasks before me. Help me to step out in faith, trusting that You are with me every step of the way. Just as You gave Jonathan victory, I believe You will lead me to triumph in Your perfect timing. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
