Heaven Is The Endgame

Revelation 21:3-4 (NKJV)
“And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Devotion

When Adam and Eve fell in the Garden of Eden, it did not catch God by surprise. The fall of man was not the end of God's plan, but the beginning of the redemptive story He had already written. Long before creation, the Father had foreseen every detail, every failure, and every need of mankind. And in love, He made provision for our redemption through His Son, Jesus Christ.

God sent Jesus so that through him, we may once again become heirs of the Kingdom of Heaven. Christ came, lived among us, died for our sins, and rose again in victory. This was not just a rescue mission; it was a royal invitation into eternal glory. We are not just saved from sin, we are saved for a future with Him. A home is being prepared for us that far surpasses anything we have known or imagined.

This is the future promised to all who walk with Christ. A place where God dwells with His people. A place where grief and pain are no more. Imagine a world where every sorrow you have ever carried is wiped away by the very hand of your Creator. A world without hospitals, funerals, or heartbreak. A world filled with the light and presence of God. This is not a fantasy or a myth. It is a guaranteed reality for those who are in Christ. But that hope demands a response. Heaven is prepared for those who have made themselves ready.

Jesus said in Matthew 24 that the coming of the Son of Man will be sudden, and only those who are prepared will enter into the joy of their Lord. We must live each day with our eyes fixed on this promise. Let us not get entangled in the temporary distractions of this world. Let us set our hearts on eternity. Let us pray, worship, serve, and obey with urgency and passion, knowing that a Kingdom awaits us.

Heaven is not just a reward but it is our home. The Father longs for His children to be there with Him. Whatever it takes, whatever you must surrender, do it. Make sure you are among those who will be caught up with Him in the clouds, ready to inherit the Kingdom that was prepared before the foundation of the world.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for preparing a place for me. Thank You for sending Jesus so that I may have eternal life. Help me to live each day with heaven in mind. Strengthen me to walk in righteousness and to let go of anything that separates me from You. I want to be among those who are ready when You return. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
