Jesus Is The Only Way To The Father
Saturday, March 1
John 14:6 (NKJV)
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Devotion
The story of God’s redeeming love takes us to the story of Hosea, who takes Gomer as his wife. She had a painful past which she was unable to let go of, and instead kept going back to her old ways.
Much like Angel in the movie ‘Redeeming Love’, who was a prostitute and though Michael married her and gave her a good life, a part of her could not forget her past and she kept going back to her old ways. The story illustrated God’s love, that though our sins are as scarlet, we can become as white as snow with His redeeming love.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16).
Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
I ask for Your forgiveness for all my sins. Forgive me if I put others first before You. Forgive me for being selfish and thinking of myself before others. Forgive me for having idols in my life. Forgive me for the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life in me. Cleanse me Lord Jesus, heal me and help me put away my past and live only for You Lord Jesus! Come into my life, and be my Lord and Savior. I have sinned against You and I am nothing without You. I believe You died on the cross to save me. I receive Your forgiveness, and I will serve and obey You all the days of my life. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Apply It Today
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (I John 1:9 NKJV)
Jesus is the only way to the Father. God’s love cleanses and saves us. By the blood of Jesus shed on calvary, our sins are forgiven and we are set free from our past, from all our sins and we are restored to our Father in Heaven. Believing in the resurrecting power of Jesus on the cross, confessing our utter sinfulness before God, and accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, gives us access to our Heavenly Father’s throne of grace. We are redeemed and made whole.
