In Luke 6:8, Jesus knew the thoughts of the religious leaders as they watched him, waiting to accuse him of breaking their Sabbath rules, yet he boldly called the man with the shriveled hand to stand. With divine authority, Jesus healed on the Sabbath, proving his lordship over it.  

Despite their outward authority and prestige, Jesus saw the hearts of the religious leaders in Luke 6, and he sees ours just as clearly today. Our God is all-knowing, holding power over what we understand and what we don’t. Hebrews 4:13 reminds us, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” Let’s not limit God with our doubts or assumptions, but trust that He knows our thoughts and can do what seems impossible. 

Trust Him today to lead you, even when others misunderstand or disapprove. 

As John 10 promises, “I know My sheep, and they hear My voice,” take heart—our all-knowing Shepherd knows us personally, understanding our thoughts, our struggles with finances, family, or health, and guides us every step of the way.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank You that You see me and know me completely. Nothing in my life is hidden from You, and I can trust You to lead me even when I don’t understand. Help me to rest in the assurance that You are my Shepherd, guiding and providing for me. Strengthen my faith to trust You beyond my doubts and fears. May I walk boldly in obedience, knowing that Your plans for me are good.

Take time today to acknowledge that God sees and knows every detail of your life. Instead of worrying about what others think or trying to control every outcome, surrender your concerns to Him in prayer. Trust that He is leading you, even when things don’t make sense, and listen for His voice through His Word.
