Room Beyond Scarcity

Sunday, May 10

John 14:2 (NKJV)

“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

Devotion

In this moment, Jesus speaks into troubled hearts. Scripture shows that He understands what is within us, even the questions we do not say out loud. Where there is uncertainty, He responds with clarity and assurance.

He points to the Father’s house and makes one thing clear: there is no lack. There are many rooms, and He Himself is preparing a place. This is not shaped by the limits people are used to on earth, where space and provision often feel scarce.

Through His words, Jesus gives a glimpse of a different reality. What He prepares is not restricted or uncertain. It is sufficient, secure, and intentional. His promise removes the fear that there may not be enough.

We are reminded that the kingdom of God is not defined by shortage. Where life may feel limited now, His promise points to fullness. The place He prepares reflects His authority and His care.

This encourages us to live with confidence and to share that hope with others. The assurance of His promise calls us to draw near to Him and to make His invitation known.

Are you trusting Christ’s promise even when life feels uncertain or limited?

Today's Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the promise that in Your house there is room for all and provision without lack. When my heart feels uncertain or restricted by what I see, help me to rest in Your word and trust Your preparation for my life. Strengthen my faith to live with confidence in Your care and to share the hope I have in You with others. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Apply It Today

When life feels limited or uncertain, choose to anchor your thoughts in Jesus’ promise rather than your present circumstances. Live with the confidence that in Christ there is no lack, and let that assurance shape how you trust, give, and encourage others today.
