Worship And Then Dig
Sunday, March 22
Genesis 26:24-25 (NKJV)
“And the LORD appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham; do not fear, for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants for My servant Abraham’s sake.” So he built an altar there and called on the name of the LORD, and he pitched his tent there; and there Isaac’s servants dug a well.”
Devotion
The first thing Isaac did after hearing from God was build an altar. He built a place where he could come before the Lord and recognized it as holy because he had heard from God. Then his servants dug the well, knowing it was blessed by God.
Pastor Franklin said in his message this past Sunday, that we should dig wells of faith. Isaac was drawing from Abraham's well of faith and making it his own. Don’t go out into the world digging wells of sin and addictions. Stay where you are and draw faith from your family’s well. Go back to church and worship. Tithe, pray, and read your Bible.
You will never run out of the living water you find there. There’s more to it than just being saved. Keep your eyes on Him, and don’t listen to what the world says. You are helping to dig a generational well—a well that will not only bless you and your family but also reach lost souls.
Don’t pollute it with worldly views or opinions. Keep that well clean. Who knows how many lives will be touched by you or your family because you kept on digging?
Today's Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are my Deliverer, and I call upon Your name once again to intervene in my circumstances. Nothing is impossible for You. You have proven it over and over again. So, by faith, I thank You in advance for every victory, provision, and protection. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
