Beauty For Ashes
Sunday, May 14
Isaiah 54:17
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.
Devotion
No weapon formed against the children of the Lord will prosper. This is a promise that we can cling to regardless of the circumstances surrounding us. God may allow difficult things to happen, but He doesn’t put us through anything that He cannot redeem and use for His glory.
We have to get an “until” in our spirit. We should hold tightly to the Word of God, pray without ceasing, and trust God UNTIL He makes beauty out of the ashes. We serve a God who is the great potter who allows us to go through things in order to shape, sharpen, and mold us to be influential vessels for the Kingdom. He does not just see who we are, He sees who we are becoming. Thank God that He can make beauty from ashes, and trust Him to do that in your life today!
Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
I honor you as Jehovah Nissi, the Lord who protects and delivers. I ask for Your protection as I go through life’s battles, and that you will help me to patiently wait “until” You deliver me. May I rest in the fact that my victory lies in Your hands. Amen!
Apply It Today
What can you put into the Father’s hands today? What is the “until” in your life? Pray without ceasing today and lay all your burdens at the Father’s feet. They are way too heavy because we were not meant to carry them. Cling to the promise in Isaiah 54:17, and meditate on this verse throughout your day.
