Psalm 68:6-7 NKJV
God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land. O God, when You went out before Your people, When You marched through the wilderness, Selah
Devotion
Our God is a God of love, mercy, and compassion. He created us to love one another and provide mutual support. He is not a God of immorality, but rather, as human beings, we sometimes choose the wrong path instead of following the good path that God has laid out for us. God's plan for us revolves around being surrounded by people who love us.
God is capable of choosing one person in a family and working through them as a way maker. This chosen person can then become a savior for the other family members, helping and delivering them. When God seeks to save an entire family, He begins with selecting one individual first. This person, aided by God, will find the strength to break the chains that bind the family.

Our kindness, compassion, and love for our neighbors, family, and church community is what sets us apart. God desires us to have genuine affection and care for one another. It is not enough to say, 'Pray for me, and I'll pray for you.' Instead, we must actively show our love for our neighbors, not postponing it for the future, as we do not know what the future holds. Love your neighbors now, while you still have the opportunity.

Today's Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for my family. I realize you have a purpose for my existence in this family for a time such as this.
Help me to treasure the uniqueness of my family, to love and care for them. To shine your light so bright that they may know you, the God I serve. May I walk in the fullness of my calling and fulfill my assignment as a member of my family. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
