Hebrews 11:32-33 NKJV
And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
Devotion
We are faced with many decisions every day; some are big while others may seem trivial. However, the decisions we make at any given moment can affect us for weeks, months, or even years to come. Many of those decisions also have an impact, positively or negatively, on those closest to us.

When we seek God’s wisdom for upcoming decisions, He will guide us if we listen to His voice and promptings. But what about the times we are faced with a quick judgment and have no time to seek Him first? When we spend time with our Heavenly Father and in His Word every day, intentionally staying close to Him, we will know His promptings and respond accordingly. He will give us wisdom in all areas of life, at any given moment, and He truly never fails us. But it is up to us to be so close to Him that we hear, listen, and obey.

Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank You, Lord, that You are ready and waiting to lead me with Your wisdom in every area of my life. But I know I must do my part by being so close to You that I hear Your voice. Please give me reminders throughout each day to spend time with You and study Your Word. It is my desire to have such a close, intimate relationship with You, that I automatically know Your promptings and follow without hesitation. I commit to grow closer to You, beginning today. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Apply It Today
Resolve today that you are going to spend that personal time with your Father each day. Schedule a manageable time each day to study His Word and to spend time communing with Him. Write it down and be faithful to Your time with Him.
