The theme message this week has been an encouragement to mothers, for them to make new roads for their families just like Judge Deborah did. We are not to let our children travel on the roads the world has given them because they are dangerous roads.

Mothers are to take a stand for what is right and raise their children in the fear of the Lord. Teach them how to pray and to worship the Lord in silence. Be firm and not give in when they complain but teach them how to ask for what they want, emphasizing the consequences that follow disobedience.

It’s time for mothers to stand up and show their children by example how to pray, work hard and be good givers.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I surrender to you and to your will for my life. I ask that by your grace you will transform me daily, into your image that I may live by your example. May those who look up to me know that God I serve and want to serve you too. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

People tend to show respect to people who show respect to them. Treat your family respectfully, without losing control of your temper or calling names. (Take a break if necessary.) Avoid abusive punishments, but discipline fairly and compassionately.
