Help My Unbelief
Saturday, July 8
John 11:40 NKJV
Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
Devotion
Life as we know it has a way of throwing curves and roadblocks when we least expect it. Twists and turns we don’t anticipate can shake the very foundation of our faith.
One would think Mary and Martha had solid faith because they walked with Jesus. He considered them his friends and they knew he was the messiah. Why then did Martha doubt that Jesus would resurrect her brother Lazarous in their present day?
Today, Jesus is asking you the same question he asked Martha, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” In that situation of lack did God not say He would provide? For the healing you seek, did He not say He would heal all your diseases? For that prodigal son/daughter did God not promise that they would return? What did God promise you? Why do you now doubt and question if He will do what He said?
It’s time to take God at His word and move with unshakable faith trusting in His faithfulness. The only thing standing in the way of your miracle is FAITH.
Today's Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before you today with a humble heart, asking that you will help my unbelief. You have not only promised in your word but you have also spoken to me concerning the situation I am facing. Your word has not changed. I choose to believe it will be fulfilled and I will see your glory. In Jesus’ name. I pray. Amen.
Apply It Today
Invest in a journal and write down God’s promises concerning your situation. Let this be a daily reminder that God will do what He said He will do. Don’t forget to include dates and times when the word was spoken.
