Holy, Holy, Holy

Isaiah 6:1-3 (NIV)
“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”
Devotion
“The whole earth is full of His glory!” (Isaiah 6:3) Think about those words as you imagine our Lord sitting on His throne in His temple in all of His majesty and wonder, with the seraphim crying out, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of host, the whole earth is full of His glory!”
As we look around at all the problems that are going on in the world today, it might be hard to see the earth full of His glory, but it is here. All we must do is reach out to Him in love, honor, and humility, and He will cover us and those for whom we pray, with His glory. Let us lift Him up with our praise and see Him with the wonder of a child’s heart.
Sometimes that is easy to do, but other times, when life is hard and messy, it may not happen quite so easily. Be encouraged though, even if you are going through the hardest, most difficult times of your life, to reach out to God and allow Him to shower you with His glory. He wants to, and even longs to.
Will you cry out “Holy, holy, holy are You, Lord, God Almighty!” As you allow Him to feel your love and adoration for Him, He will allow you to know His love and surround you with His glory.

Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Holy, holy, holy are You, Lord, God Almighty! I praise You with my whole being. Even though life is tough right now, I know You are near and I offer You my praise and thanksgiving. No amount of praise could ever suffice, but I long to praise You because of Your Holiness, goodness, and mercy. I want to build an intimate relationship with You as I spend time in Your presence. I seek a closer walk with You, Lord, and I ask that You shower Your glory over me, and those I love. Help me to sense You with every fiber of my being. Holy, holy, holy, are you, Lord God Almighty! I love and praise You. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Apply It Today
Where are you in life right now? Whether everything is wonderful and you have no major problems to speak of, or if it feels like your life is falling apart, or at any point in between, offer God praise and adoration amid the joy, pain, and heartache. He longs for closeness with you during every season of your life. Seek His glory as you spend precious time with Him today.
