Inner Strength

Ephesians 3:16-18 (NLT)
“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.”
Devotion
This was the prayer that the Apostle Paul raised for the Ephesians. He prayed that the believers in Ephesus would experience the empowerment and growth of Spiritual Strength. The journey of knowing our Creator in a deep transforming way. What a glorious and marvelous way to experience the riches of faith, the power of God’s transforming love and union with his Creation.

Jesus prayed a similar prayer in John 17:21-23 NLT
“I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.
I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.”

As the believers of Ephesus were encouraged through prayer to experience the power of transformation, we as believers have the authority to pray bold prayers for our generations.
Be encouraged to experience the transformative power of Spiritual Strength and an awakening of your faith. To do this, we must invite Jesus to dwell in us, give him permanent residence and complete access to live freely in our hearts. Let him clean and straighten out the mess in our lives. If you want to experience all that God has for you, then Christ must be Lord of your heart.

Secondly, pray bold prayers of transformation. You are never more like Jesus than when you pray for others. Pray for those you love; pray for those you may not like. Present their case to the giver of Life.
Remember when we feel weak or detached from our faith, it is not because we suffer from a lack of available power. The might of God that created the universe and that raised Jesus from the dead is available to us at every moment through believing prayer and faithful obedience.

Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the resilience of Your Word, the strength of Your Holy Spirit, and the fortitude of Jesus in us. Lord, take away all the mess we may still have that has not been revealed, enter in every compartment of our hearts, and make a permanent residence there. May we experience the glorious wonder of spiritual awakening, transforming us from the inside out.
May our hearts beat in unison with Yours in our daily walk with Jesus. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Apply It Today
Let us use this simple example - When your cell phone is out of power, no external alterations will make a difference. The problem is an uncharged battery. We need the internal strength and the inner fortitude that only the Holy Spirit can provide to jumpstart our Spiritual Life and continue to keep it charged through prayer, worship, and scripture. Dwelling in the presence of our Lord. Inner Spiritual strength is a daily process of letting Jesus into our lives and keeping him there.
