Just For You

Colossians 2:9 (NKJV)
“For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;”
Devotion
Do we dare explore the greatness of our God?
In the beginning, in the very beginning, was the Word. And this Word was with God and was God. And the Word humbled Himself, took on flesh, and dwelt in bodily form - Jesus Christ, our Savior (John 1:14, John 3:16).
“Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, He gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When He appeared in human form, He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.” Philippians 2:6-8 (NLT)

This amazing act of sacrifice, paved the way to re-establish relationship with mankind. It demonstrated the incredible depth of His love.
Why did God do this? Because the One who created you loves you.
The God of all power and of all knowledge, has also inscribed your name on the very palm of His hands, and cannot forget you. (Isaiah 49:16)
In fact, He sees our ways which are continually before Him. In His greatness and His majesty as God, His detailed knowledge of us causes Him to reach the very deepest parts that no one can see, but are only visible to Him.

He is a God not far away, but very near. And this Almighty One will move mountains, just to reach you.

 - God put on flesh and dwelt among men, so He could be easily touched and understand the feelings of our weaknesses … just for you.
- For the joy set before Him, the hope of a family rejoined unto Himself, He endured unthinkable pain, sorrow and grief … just for you.

- For an eternity to be spent with us, He was raised from the dead … just for you.

- To ensure you overcome the trials of this life and finish the race set before you, He did not leave you alone, but sent you His Holy Spirit … just for you.

He loves you more than you could ever know – a love so great, that is beyond human knowledge. And so He reaches down from the heavens, to orchestrate the tiniest details of your life …Just For You .

Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come humbly before You to say thank You. Thank You for putting on flesh and coming to earth just for me, so that You can relate to me and all that I endure in this life. Thank You for enduring the unthinkable torture of the cross just so You and I could have a close, intimate relationship. Thank You paving the way for me to live in eternity with You. Thank You for the Holy Spirit who was sent to ensure that I can live and finish this life victoriously and hear You say, “Well done, My good and faithful servant.” Thank You for all You have done and continue to do, just for me. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Apply It Today
Think of all that Jesus did just for you and dwell on those things for a while. Then ask yourself what you are doing for him. If you feel you fall short in some ways, write down all that comes to mind. Beginning today and each day hereafter, pray over those and commit to him that you will do better each day, just for him.
