Light Up Your World

Sunday, July 7

Psalm 119:10-13 (AMP)
“With all my heart I have sought You, [inquiring of You and longing for You]; Do not let me wander from Your commandments [neither through ignorance nor by willful disobedience]. Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart, That I may not sin against You. Blessed and reverently praised are You, O LORD; Teach me Your statutes. With my lips I have told of All the ordinances of Your mouth.”
Devotion
To be shining stars for God, we must be diligent in our pursuit of Him. We must seek Him with all our minds, hearts, and souls, inquiring and longing for deeper knowledge of Him. This dedication will be evident to those around us. Our time with God must be our top priority, as it is essential for leading others to Him.

Learning about God and sharing His works in our lives is crucial. His word must be our most valued treasure, more precious than gold or silver. By reading, studying, and memorizing it, we arm ourselves with a powerful weapon that helps us avoid sin and stay on the right path. Do not take His word for granted—every word is pure and one of our greatest possessions, alongside our salvation and inheritance.

Spend time with God, praising Him for who He is and what He has done. Seek to understand the true meaning of His laws and commandments, asking the Holy Spirit to teach you. This understanding enables us to effectively share the gospel with others, demonstrating why they should believe in Him.

Our lights can truly shine when we live out our faith authentically. Jesus said we are the light of the world, and we cannot hide; we must penetrate the darkness around us. Many people need Him, and it's our mission to bring His light to them.

Pastor Marcus Mecum in his message on Sunday, spoke about using divine energy to fulfill God's purpose. This is not something we can achieve on our own, but only through Him. By sharing what we have received, we can light up our world!

Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,

I truly long to light up this dark world with a light that points to You. I want everyone with whom I come into contact each day to see Your likeness in me. Help me to be ever mindful that my words, actions, and reactions are all a reflection of You. As I study Your Word, reveal to me any areas on which I need to improve. Lead me, Lord, into Your likeness. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
