How many of us settle for the old life and its ideals? How many of us think or believe that God doesn't want us to change? Didn't His Son die to set us free from that? Is not the price of our Christian liberty the cross itself? Are we not supposed to die to ourselves? And then take up the cross and follow Him? What right do we have to grieve His Holy Spirit? Are we not supposed to leave this earth better than we came? So if He died for us while we didn't believe, don't we have to give up our rights?

We will never become the persons He wants us to be if we hold onto our old nature. It’s time to take off the old and embrace the new in Christ Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank you for the new thing you’re doing in my life. Lord, I am tired of doing things the same old way. Renew me by your Holy Spirit, revive me that I may once again worship you in Spirit and in truth. I surrender my heart to you and I boldly declare that I AM A NEW CREATION in Christ Jesus. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Is there anything from your old life that you need to get rid of? Maybe it’s the unhealthy habits, toxic relationships or even the music which corrupted your mind. It’s time to cut the ropes. You won’t be able to move forward into the new while clinging on to the old.
