Psalm 121:2 NKJV
My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
Devotion
Ever been in a sticky situation? A place, a moment or a time when it seemed like you were all alone with no help in sight? The Psalmist David had his own share of such moments.

Some Bible Scholars state that because David spent most of his time as a young man in the field taking care of his father’s animals and being a good shepherd, this was a “trust” training ground for him. Whenever danger arose, he had no one else to help him. The only option David had was to look to the hills, where his help came from!

God is our present help in times of great need. Believing in this takes trust and experience. The more we go through the valley, the more we look up and learn to trust God, the more help we get! We have to push through the trials and hard times until we reach the end of ourselves, then our great helper who sits on high will come and save us.

Today's Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
I praise you my deliver, my savior and my hiding place. Thank you for assuring me today that help is on the way. You are ever present and ever ready to bring me out on the other side as a victor not a victim. I surrender this battle to you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Apply It Today
We are always so quick to look in front, look behind and look all around us, rarely do we look up. Today as you stand in the middle of whatever you’re facing, take the time to look UP! That’s where your help comes from.
