Zechariah 1:16 (NIV)
““Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,’ declares the LORD Almighty.”
Devotion
In the midst of our struggles and delays, God's promise to Zechariah rings true for us today: "Therefore this is what the Lord says: 'I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,' declares the Lord Almighty." Just as the Israelites faced the daunting task of rebuilding the Temple amidst discouragement, we too face our own challenges. Among them: the spirits of lack, limitation, hindering, and devouring. Yet, God's assurance is clear—He is with us, guiding and protecting.
- Against the spirit of lack, God provides abundance. Don't believe the lie that you don't have enough. God will supply all your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus.
- Where there is limitation, He offers limitless possibilities. Push against the limitations and break every barrier trying to stop you from going further. Faith never settles. There are people God wants you to reach on the other side of limitations.
- When we are hindered, He gives us freedom. The devil can hinder you, but he can't stop you.
- In the face of being devoured, He brings restoration. Be faithful to do what God has called you to do; He will rebuke the devourer for you. No weapon formed against you can prosper.
When life seems to stall our spiritual progress, or when we feel distant from God, remember His promise. He calls us to return to Him, promising not just restoration but a passionate, protective love. This love is not contingent on our perfection but on His unchanging nature
So, don't give up; keep pressing forward in faith, for God's promises are sure and His timing is perfect
