Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Devotion
The Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is portrayed as a God of covenant and faithfulness. He is Sovereign over everything and everyone.
The Lord sees your struggles and your potential. He looks beyond your past to your future in Him!
Your past may look like a hindrance, but in His Eyes, it is your catalyst.
Obedience is not a matter of convenience. Divine disconnections may be God moving you forward.
New beginnings are difficult, but you must be willing to take risks for God. When you are feeling most vulnerable, being fired upon by the enemy, and being pushed to your breaking point, it all comes down to who is your pilot. Is God your Pilot?
When you make God your Pilot, His sufficiency masks your insufficiency. Jesus' Blood covers your sinful humanity with His cloak of Righteousness. When we trust Him and believe in faith, He ensures our victory. By His final blood sacrifice, we have been given, by His Grace, a new beginning.
In John 15, it says The Holy Spirit causes us to bear fruit as we dwell in Christ. When we trust Him, in total surrender, the pressure to achieve and succeed in our own strength lessens as our capacity for abiding in Him grows. We can rest in Him! Like an osprey diving beneath the water for a fish, it may be a struggle, but if we persevere, we will soar high in victory!
Today's Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
I acknowledge that you are the great I AM. I submit my need for control and I ask that you lead me to higher heights. I may not see where you’re taking me or what the master plan is, but I trust that you have my back and will lead me to great victory. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Apply It Today
Trusting in someone or something takes effort. At times it requires taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase. Take that leap of faith today. The more you trust and acknowledge God the more He will direct your path from glory to glory.
