The Father’s Love
Thursday, August 3
Romans 5:8 NKJV
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Devotion
The Bible speaks of the Father’s love toward each and every one of us. He was made flesh and was mocked for speaking the truth. They tortured him before placing him on the cross, and in triumphant victory, he rose on the third day.
The Father shows His love to both the sinners and the believers. Sinners can fall under any man-made category or stereotype or be a plain person who we used to be before we repented and accepted Jesus as our personal savior.
If you feel like an outcast or unworthy, just remember that Jesus was considered an outcast, yet he died and rose on the third day for your sins. No matter what your past is, he loves you unconditionally, forgives you, meets you right where you are in life, and will make you a brand new person. So go ahead and invite him to be your personal savior.
In John 3:16-17, the Bible says, “God so loved us that he sent his only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. He sent him into the world that through him the world would be saved.”

Today's Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to You just as I am, a sinner in need of forgiveness. I believe You can make me clean as You meet me at my point of need. Purify my heart, wash me in the blood of Your son Jesus, and give me a new beginning. I receive forgiveness and I receive Your saving grace today. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Apply It Today
Your mission is to come as you are. Many of us make the mistake of wanting to clean ourselves up before saying yes to Jesus. Forgiveness is waiting on the other side of your steps of obedience when you simply come.
