The Healing For My Will
Monday, April 10
Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hebrews 13:20-21
Devotion
The first time that Jesus shed his blood, he shed it in the garden of Gethsemane when he was travailing in prayer and his sweat became like drops of blood. He refused his own will and prayed “not my will but thine be done”.
The blood of Jesus has a voice. It speaks better things (forgiveness and mercy) than the blood of Abel which speaks of vengeance. When your ways are not in alignment with God’s will, Jesus offers healing. All it takes is a decision to surrender to him and healing will come.
It’s not about perfection, it’s about having the desire to honor him for the rest of your life and his resurrection power will change your will day by day.
Today's Prayer
Dear God, thank you for your faithfulness. Time and time again I have seen your perfect will at work in my life. I surrender my will, my desires and my wants to you. I’m releasing what comes next into your hands, I trust you Lord. Amen.
