Unity Through Restoration

Friday, June 16

2 Corinthians 13:11 NKJV
Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Devotion
Paul had continuous communication and relationship with the church in Corinth. Through this relationship, he was teaching them about Jesus and the Holy Spirit, while also teaching them how to live their lives as Christians.

In the closing of his second letter to the Corinthian church, we see a brief recap of what it looks like to live out our Christian walk. The first way is to strive for full restoration. This is possible through forgiveness and the help of the Holy Spirit.

We have been restored to a right relationship with God through Christ’s work of redemption, therefore, as believers we can have full restoration with others. Restoration isn’t always easy, and it doesn’t always happen right away, but when restoration occurs, we can then faithfully encourage others, be of one mind, and live in peace.

Today's Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are the God of restoration. Nothing is too broken for you to fix and nothing is too hard for you to do. I bring every broken relationship in my life before you and ask that you restore love, peace and unity. Bind us together Lord with chords of love that can never be broken in Jesus’ name, Amen!
