There are two kinds of spirits, the Holy Spirit and Satan. The Holy Spirit also known as the Comforter will guide you to the right path, teach you, give you peace and give you confirmation for any decision made in your life.

Satan on the other hand comes to kill, steal, and destroy. Nothing positive comes from housing him in your body. Getting a bad report from the doctor, a rejection letter from a bank, going through a divorce, and having adult kids in trouble may bring in fear.

But by the power of the Holy Spirit you can stand firm, allowing the Comforter to give you peace over every situation you are facing today.

Dear Heavenly Father,

My ever present help in time of need. Forgive me for the many times I have allowed the things of this world to become idols in my life. Have mercy on me for the times I have not given you first place. I invite you to come Holy Spirit and live in me. Have your way in my life and be glorified through every season. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Each day, you have a choice to walk by the Spirit or walk by your own will. The Apostle Paul equates this life choice to walking. Are you walking following the course of this world (Ephesians 2:2)? Or are you walking in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called (Ephesians 4:1)?
