Whose Power Is It Anyway?

Sunday, April 23

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
Devotion

Has suffering tempted you to believe that prophetic words and dreams God gave you no longer apply? Look to Jesus’ power! You can’t hold on to your “trauma story” and Jesus’ power at the same time. Instead of seeking sympathy from others, seek agreement in prayer for deliverance and protection from the work of death and decay. Jesus’ power brings healing without bitterness as we let go of anger and forgive others.

God’s call and promises depend on obedience, not on human strength. Ask for the power of Jesus Christ to rest on you. As you follow Him, may your path be like the light of dawn which shines brighter and brighter until full day (Proverbs 4:8).

Today’s Prayer
Dear God,
Thank you for your promises and faithfulness. You promise to work all things together for my good, even now I believe you are working. No matter how I feel or what troubles I face You are working things out for my good. Amen!

Apply it Today
Focus on God not on people. When you direct your focus on God and His assuring Word, you can reduce fear and doubt in your life.
