Willing Servant

Proverbs 31:13-14 NKJV
She seeks wool and flax, And willingly works with her hands. She is like the merchant ships, She brings her food from afar.
Devotion
Proverbs 31 was written by Solomon describing a woman that was of the highest and most commendable character. Although these verses describe a woman of noble character, they can also be applied to any servant who is willing to do the Lord’s will instead of their own.
Jesus said in John 4:34, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work.” Children of God should be willing to work hard for kingdom purposes, delighting in the food of His will. Just as the woman described in Proverbs 31 brought food to her family, we should be working with willing hands to bring the good news of redemption and salvation through Jesus to anyone that we encounter.
We should be humble and willing servants in our day to day life, remembering that Jesus has called us to be disciples of all nations.
