You Lead, They Will Follow

Tuesday, May 16

“In the days of Shamgar, son of Anath, In the days of Jael, The highways were deserted, And the travelers walked along the byways. Village life ceased, it ceased in Israel, Until I, Deborah, arose, Arose a mother in Israel.
Judges 5:6-7 (NKJV)

Devotion

In the days of Deborah the prophet, highways were desolate, untrod for so long the grass grew. Emptiness prevailed. Fear and weakness held the Israelites captive. The compassion of The Lord was kindled by the cries of His beloved children, He raised Deborah to be a Mother to Israel, to deliver them.

Sent to instruct, rule, and protect her people, Deborah prompted their return to God which led to the salvation of their souls and repentant hearts filled with gratitude. She led, they followed.

Be that person. Be bold, standing firm in your faith and God's Word. Humble yourself before God and be that person who leads others down the narrow path making others brave. Do everything in love, carry out His Word, walk in God's Will and you can change the world!
